AC Entertainment Celebrates One Year in Nashville with the Addition of Erin McAnally and Taylor Shoe

Nashville, TN – AC Entertainment, internationally recognized concert promoter and producer of the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival, Forecastle Fest and Big Ears Festival, recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of its Nashville office with the addition of two new employees. Taylor Shoemaker returns to AC Entertainment as Director of Operations and Talent Buyer, while Erin McAnally brings talent and experience as a Marketing and Special Projects Manager.

“We’re really thriving in Nashville’s high energy and creative environment,” says Ashley Capps, CEO and founder of AC Entertainment. “We’ve had a great year since officially establishing our Nashville office, and our opportunities continue to expand. We are happy to welcome a strong talent like Erin to the team and to have Taylor — who was with us for over seven years — return to join our Nashville team after a short hiatus.”

McAnally, a Muscle Shoals, AL native, joined the AC Entertainment Nashville team as a Marketing and Special Projects Manager in September of this year. After receiving a B.A. in English from Belmont University, she went on to earn an Asia Pacific Leadership Program Fellowship from The East and West Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Following her academic work, McAnally decided to return to Nashville and her music industry roots. From 2006 to 2009 she worked as a Production Coordinator for Tony Brown Enterprises, and then as a freelance Music Supervisor and Music Assistant at Independently Thinking Music in Los Angeles.

In 2012, McAnally started as Event Director at Imogene + Willie and was later promoted to V.P. of Marketing, PR & Retail, coordinating events with companies such as GQ, Spotify and Warby Parker.

Continuing to build on his extensive previous experience with the company, Shoemaker joins the AC Entertainment Nashville team as the Director of Operations beginning Monday, October 20, 2014. Shoemaker began working with AC Entertainment in 2007, wearing many hats over the course of his seven-year career. He was heavily involved in the company’s music festivals, including Bonnaroo, Forecastle, Mountain Oasis, and Big Ears, as well as the Gentleman of the Road stopovers (Mumford & Sons’ pet project).

After a brief yet successful stint away from the company as Vice President of Operations & New Business for Axis Security, Shoemaker will be a key member of the event operations and production department, overseeing the planning and on-site execution of many of the company’s events. He will also have an increased role as a Talent Buyer, particularly for country music and related genres, and as a Promoter Rep for all AC Entertainment shows.

Since the company opened the doors of its Nashville office last September, AC Entertainment has devoted itself to the continued growth and development of the Nashville music scene. Since AC Entertainment signed on as Marathon Music Works’ exclusive talent buyer in 2013, its talented staff has brought iconic artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Phoenix and others into the space. Not only was Marathon the only Nashville club ranked in Pollstar’s 2014 Top 100, but it was ranked as the top selling club in Nashville. This year Pollstar also ranked Schermerhorn Symphony Center as the #40 theatre in the world, a fact that was due in no small part to AC Entertainment’s expert booking. Other notable performances booked by AC Entertaiment at Exit/In this year include shows by Washed Out, CHVRCHES, and Shuggie Otis, in addition to two sold-out nights of Hozier.
