I would like to recommend Jane Doe as a candidate for the position at your organization. Jane interned from August – December 2013 under myself and Dustin Turner (Marketing Assistant and Director of Marketing, respectively) for AEG Live / The Messina Group Nashville. Our Nashville office is the Southeast Region headquarters; we handle club- to arena-level shows in Atlanta, Louisville, Knoxville, Nashville, Birmingham, and Memphis, just to name a few.
Jane was a great intern and a pleasure to have in our office. I would describe her as enthusiastic, engaging, creative, and proactive. Jane’s friendly, outgoing personality and ability to work with minimal supervision were reflected in her passion for music and eagerness to learn. She tackled new concepts with enthusiasm while seeking opportunities for improvement and growth. Jane’s duties included processing invoices, cataloguing receipts for the company marketing AMEX, and revising our weekly newsletter. She acted as a runner for our office, which entailed the pickup, delivery, and shipping of artist gifts and other important items. Finally, Jane assisted with other administrative tasks such as copying show folders, conducting market research, and reaching out to local businesses with pre-approved cross-promotional opportunities. To give an example, she was instrumental in setting up a Blondie ticket giveaway that fostered an ongoing relationship with a several businesses in the Nashville community.
Overall, Jane is a hardworking, hands-on person who will be an asset to any company that hires her.
